The main product in the pharmaceutical line is erythromycin, which Ercros produces at its Aranjuez plant (Madrid). Ercros is the world's second largest manufacturer of erythromycin base, salts and derivatives, with 11% of free market production.

Erythromycin is a wide spectrum antibacterial antibiotic which is specifically recommended for the treatment of respiratory and skin complaints.

Ercros directly sells a portion of the erythromycin base it manufactures but most of it is used by the same facility to manufacture erythromycin salts and derivatives.
