Ercros is global leader in fosfomycin sales with 71% of the market. This product, which was wholly developed by the company, is manufactured at the Aranjuez production facilities (Madrid).

Fosfomycin is a wide spectrum, almost non-toxic antibiotic specifically used to combat hospital infections and infections of the urinary and genital tracts. The company is also carrying out studies on its possible veterinary application.

Ercros exports almost all its fosfomycin production. The product has been registered in over thirty countries worldwide and is sold under contract to licensed companies. The main importers are the USA, Japan and Mexico.
