Moulding compounds are the polymers resulting from the condensation of urea or melamine and formaldehyde. The end product, transformed by the customer, is a cross-linked polymer, which is insoluble and unaffected by high temperatures (thermostable). It is available as a granulated solid in different colours.

Ercros manufactures more than 268 types of moulding compounds at the Cerdanyola plant. These products have a great many uses in many industrial sectors.
