Ercros is the sole Spanish manufacturer of acetaldehyde. Its Tarragona unit has an annual production capacity of 90,000 tons.

This product is mainly for internal use as feedstock in the manufacture of ethyl acetate. The remainder is sold as an intermediate product for the chemical industry.
