Ercros it is present into potash market through Sabiñánigo factory, where it produces caustic potash (solution and flakes) and potassium carbonate, with a global production capacity of 55.000 tons.

Ercros is the only Spanish manufacturer of caustic potash and potassium carbonate.

Caustic potash is produced through the electrolysis of potassium chloride brine. Potassium carbonate, in turn, is obtained from the caustic potash.

Both the potash and the carbonate, which Ercros has been manufacturing since the 50s, are products in which the company has a high market share in Spain as well as having a major export business.
