A colourless, volatile, highly reactive and highly flammable liquid with a suffocating, pungent odour that forms extremely explosive mixtures with air.
It is produced through the oxidation of ethylene and obtained with a purity > 99.5%. Its density at 20ºC is 778 gr/l.

It is used to manufacture ethyl acetate, vinyl, fertilisers, polyalcohols, explosives and pyridine derivatives. It is also used as an intermediary product in chemical synthesis.

It is sold in stainless steel tanks with a refrigeration system to prevent the product’s temperature rising above 15ºC.
