Ercros is the leading Spanish manufacturer of sodium hypochlorite, which is made at Flix, Palos de la Frontera, Sabiñánigo and Vila-seca. These plants have a combined annual production capacity for this product in excess of 246,000 tons.

Most of its production is sold in Spain where Ercros has a 50% market share.

By virtue of its bleaching and disinfectant properties, sodium hypochlorite is mainly used in drinking water treatment, in household disinfectants and in bleaching fibres.
