Alongside chlorine, caustic soda is one of the main products of the Ercros Basic Chemicals Division. The facilities manufacturing it have an installed annual production capacity of 500,000 tons.

This basic chemical product is widely used in all kinds of industries: chemical synthesis, textiles, soaps and detergents, papermaking, household cleaning products, neutralisation of acid waste, etc.

Ercros is the leading Spanish producer and the ninth in Europe.
