Since 1973, the year when chloroisocyanurate production started, the facilities in the Water Treatment Division have developed into a complete production process with high quality standards, recognised internationally. The Sabiñánigo plant currently has a combined capacity of 21,000 tons per annum of trichloroisocyanuric acid and sodium dichloroisocyanurate.
The chloroisocyanurates produced by Ercros are sold in the form of granules, powder, blocks, tablets, and lozenges, and in various different types of packaging. One part of the production is targeted at the industrial market and is distributed in large-sized industrial packaging under the appropriate chemical name. The other part is aimed at the professional market, in ready-to-use packaging, and is sold under the Delsa, Azuli, and Pisipur trade names. Furthermore, the company offers a wide range of products and ancillary preparations that are used to treat water, particularly in swimming-pools under the same trade names.
The company has a fully integrated production line, which goes from the production of cyanuric acid, through the production of trichloroisocyanuric acid and sodium dichloroisocyanurate in granules and powder up to the subsequent transformation of the product into blocks, tablets and lozenges. Furthermore this integration is complemented by the use of basic raw materials, chlorine and caustic soda, which are produced by other Group companies.
The Company’s facilities and products not only meet all national safety standards, but also all European standards in respect of transportation, storage, packaging, and labelling. Ercros products are approved by the health authorities in Spain and other countries. In the US, their products are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
