Barcelona, December 11, 2015 - Ercros has received the transparency award given by the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry (Feique) in collaboration with the Chemical Society Forum, this award recognizes the quality and transparency of the corporate social responsibility report published by the company and in which all actions, processes and decisions made on social responsibility are integrated.
Teresa Conesa, Secretary General of Ercros, commissioned to collect the award, said that "a transparent company is the one that is open to the public scrutiny, through thick and thin times, that is when transparency tests the company social responsibility”. Also she thanked to Feique "the award and the institutional support received”.
The Chemical Sector CSR Awards aim to recognize the commitment of chemical companies, adhered to the Responsible Care program, with the principles of sustainable development and social responsibility. The ceremony was held at the CEOE headquarters and was chaired by Esther Perez, deputy director of CSR at the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and has enjoyed the presence of German Granda, CEO of Forética and Juan Antonio Labat, CEO of Feique.
Ercros, Spanish first basic chemical company, is adhered since 1994 to the Responsible Care program, a voluntary initiative of the chemical industry to get companies, in the development of its business, to achieve continuous improvement regarding safety and the protection of health and environment, as well as distribution and product stewardship and communication with stakeholders.
