Tarragona, July 13, 2017 - The mayor and president of the organizing committee of the games and the president of Ercros have signed the agreement
Ercros has become a new official sponsor of the Tarragona 2018 Mediterranean Games. The sponsorship agreement has been signed by the mayor and chairman of the organizing committee of the games, Josep Fèlix Ballesteros, and the president and CEO of Ercros, Antonio Zabalza Martí. The event took place at Casa Canals. Javier Villamayor, commissioner of the Mediterranean Games, has also attended.
The president and CEO of Ercros, Antonio Zabalza Martí, pointed out "the history of Ercros is linked to Tarragona and for us it is a pleasure to sign this agreement that will make the region, the scene of the best sport in the world". He also recalled Ercros' efforts to get new products and technologically advanced applications that help optimize the performance of athletes and allows them to reach unattainable limits they had a few years ago.
New collaboration company
Ercros joins other national and international companies that are committed as official sponsors with the Mediterranean Games Tarragona 2018.
Ercros is a chemical group of centenary tradition; five of the 11 industrial facilities are located in the province of Tarragona. It maintains a leading position in all markets where it is present and exports almost half of its sales in more than 128 countries, mainly of the European Union.
The company carries out its productive activity in the framework of a voluntary commitment in favour of the safety of its facilities and the health of the people, respect for the environment, the quality of its products and the dialogue and transparency in its relation with the society.
