Barcelona, December 15, 2017. - Mutua Universal, an entity that collaborates with the Spanish Social Security, has recognized Ercros for the reduction of work-related accidents.
Carmelo Urieta, head of the Ercros prevention service, was in charge of collecting the diploma "Bonus prevention". At the request of Mutua Universal, Urieta made a presentation on the implementation of the prevention management system in Ercros. He spoke about the importance of this recognition "because it shows something we are struggling with on a daily basis" and recalled that in order to be successful "prevention must be integrated at all levels of the organization, including management"
The ceremony of delivery, held on December 5 at the headquarters of Mutua Universal, was attended by Maria Teresa Gibert, provincial director of the National Institute of Social Security in Barcelona and Rosa Santos Coello, territorial director of the Labor Inspection of the Social Security in Catalonia.
The "Bonus prevention" incentives are granted by the General Directorate for the Regulation of Social Security, through the mutual collaborators that provide coverage to companies. It is an incentive system for companies that have effectively contributed, with quantifiable investments, to the reduction of work accidents and have carried out effective actions in the prevention of work accidents and occupational diseases. "Bonus prevention" allows to recover the investments made in facilities, processes or equipment in preventive matters.
