Barcelona, December 13, 2018. - Ercros has been awarded in the categories of Equality and Transparency in the II CSR Awards of the chemical sector granted by the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry ("Feique"); those awards aim to recognize the commitment of chemical companies, adhering to the Responsible Care program, with the principles of sustainable development and social responsibility.
The Equality Award recognizes the business commitment of Ercros to achieve a greater balance in the hiring of men and women. It also rewards the degree of implementation of good practices and initiatives to achieve a greater female presence in the company.
For its part, the Transparency Award recognizes the quality of the corporate social responsibility report as an information tool of the organization that integrates the actions, processes and decisions that are made in terms of social responsibility.
Teresa Conesa, General Secretary of Ercros, was responsible for collecting and thanking the awards in a ceremony that was held yesterday December 12 in Madrid and was chaired by the Director General of Autonomous Work, Social Economy and CSR of the Ministry of Labour, Migrations and Social Security, Mª Antonia Pérez León; the general deputy director of Industrial Sectoral Policies of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Alejandro Cros, and the director of Responsible Care, Jesús Soriano.
In her words of acceptance, Teresa Conesa affirmed that the presence of women in the chemical sector, and in industry in general, is still very low and that positive measures must be adopted to promote the hiring of women in all staff categories.
