The Ercros factory in Cerdanyola, awarded for its occupational safety

Cerdanyola, June 2, 2022. - The Ercros factory in Cerdanyola has been awarded the 2021 Feique Safety award, granted by the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry (Feique) for not having had any accidents among its own personnel throughout 2021. In addition to Cerdanyola, the Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo and Tortosa have also received this award.

This good result in terms of safety is largely due to the involvement of the people who work at Ercros as well as the multiple actions and activities carried out to improve each day both the safety of the people who work at both the factory and its facilities.

The Cerdanyola factory has its occupational health and safety management certified according to the ISO 45001 standard; environmental management according to the ISO 14001 standard; quality management according to ISO 9001, and verified its CO2 emissions according to ISO 14064.

This factory belongs to the intermediate chemical division of Ercros and produces more than 250 types of thermosetting moulding compounds, with a palette of more than 2,000 colours. 85% of its production is intended for export to more than 60 countries around the world, being the second European producer of these compounds. It directly employs 100 people and in 2021 it had a turnover of 28 million euros.
