Gerard Correig Ferré

He holds a Law degree from the University of Navarra and a Master's Degree in Business Law from the same university.
He began his professional career in the field of commercial law, specializing in capital markets and M&A transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs) and listings on BME Growth, public takeover bids, subscriptions or sales of securities, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. Throughout his career, he has regularly advised listed companies on commercial, regulatory, and corporate governance matters, and also has extensive experience in M&A transactions in the insurance sector.
He has served as legal counsel to the Governing Company of the Barcelona Stock Exchange, S.A.U.; and as former Chairman of the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Commission of the AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers). He has developed a distinguished international career, working as a foreign associate in the New York office of an international firm in 2002 and 2003. He also participated in the opening of the firm's Santiago, Chile office in 2020, where he resided until 2022.
He is a regular contributor to industry publications and teaches in various postgraduate programs at prestigious universities.
Currently, he is a lawyer and partner in the Corporate practice at Cuatrecasas, advising on complex capital markets and M&A transactions, as well as securities market regulations.
