Committed to society
Contributing to the wealth and wellbeing of society, through a solid and lasting industrial project, is a general aim of Ercros.
The company has signed up to the Responsible Care programme, a global chemical sector initiative promoted in Spain by the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry (Feique). As a member of this programme, we are committed to continuous improvement in terms of safety, health, environment and protection in all our operations.
Ercros has obtained 82 points out of 100 in the self-assessment questionnaire on compliance with the Responsible Care program. This result places Ercros six points above the average of the 126 European companies that completed the questionnaire in 2023 and represents an improvement of almost one point compared to the previous year.
The company is committed and involved in all the areas in which it operates, especially in the communities where its work centres are located. One of Ercros' main contributions to society is the employment generated by its activity, with about 4,100 direct, indirect and induced jobs, which represent an average of 3% of the active population of the municipalities in which its factories are located.
Ercros also contributes economically to sustaining public finances through the payment of taxes, levies, fees, contributions, etc.

EcoVadis has rated Ercros' CSR with 85/100 points in the Platinum category and in the top 1% of companies.
Bureau Veritas has awarded Ercros a CSR Company rating at the Excellent level.
