The Ercros factory in Cerdanyola has been recognized, for the second consecutive year, with the Feique Safety award, awarded by the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry (Feique) to those facilities in the chemical industry with more than 50 employees that manage to maintain a general frequency index of zero throughout the year, that is, no accidents at work with or without sick leave among its staff. In the case of Cerdanyola, it should be noted that in 2024 it did not register any incidents among external staff either.

Hector Barón, director of the Cerdanyola factory; accompanied by Cristina Finestra, head of the technical prevention department of Ercros and Ismael Gómez, head of technical prevention of the Cerdanyola factory; was in charge of collecting the recognition at an event held at the headquarters of the CEOE. The awards were presented by the director of the Department of Employment, Diversity and Social Protection of the CEOE, Rosa Santos; the technical deputy director of the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSST), Beatriz Diego; and the general director of Feique, Juan Antonio Labat.

All Ercros plants have an occupational health and safety management system certified in accordance with the international standard ISO 45001. In accordance with this, the company applies rigorous safety protocols, reinforces staff training and organizes awareness campaigns on an ongoing basis to promote safe work environments.
