Cerdanyola receives a visit from Chemistry students from the UAB

Cerdanyola,

The Ercros factory in Cerdanyola has received the visit of a group of 3rd year students of Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in a conference aimed at bringing students closer to the industrial reality and the operation of a chemical plant.

In total, 33 students participated accompanied by their teacher. The students were received by Héctor Barón, director of the factory, and Ángel Domínguez, head of industrial relations at the centre, who gave a presentation on Ercros and the activity carried out by the Cerdanyola factory.

Later, the students visited the factory facilities, guided by Adolfo López and Víctor Valdés, head and production technician, respectively.

The visit was carried out in two groups and the control room and the bioscruber, a gas purification system based on biological processes that reduces emissions and minimises the environmental impact of industrial activity, aroused special interest.

With this type of initiative, Ercros reinforces its commitment to training and the rapprochement between the university and the chemical industry.
