Chemical engineering students visit the pharmaceuticals division

A group of students in the last years of the degree in chemical engineering at the Rey Juan Carlos University has visited the facilities of the pharmaceuticals division of Ercros in Aranjuez, in a day aimed at bringing the industrial environment closer to university education.
Accompanied by two teachers from the centre and guided by technicians from the factory, the students had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the equipment, processes and facilities that make up this plant, with special attention to the areas of biological production and synthesis.
The visit also included quality control laboratories, warehouses and auxiliary services, and allowed the students to complement their theoretical knowledge with a practical and real vision of the operation of a plant of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
This initiative is part of Ercros' commitment to training and collaboration with the academic environment and facilitates direct contact between future professionals and the industrial sector.
