Ercros participated in the sports and solidarity challenge 'Kilometers X Water'

Barcelona,

Last Saturday, October 9, two teams made up of Ercros personnel joined the solidarity challenge “Kilometers X Water”, sponsored by Ercros and organized by Oxfam Intermón. It is about carrying out a team march, the Trailwalker, to raise funds that, on this occasion, will be used to bring drinking water to towns in Africa and South America so that their women and girls do not have to walk many kilometers every day to go get the water.

The Ercros Tarraco Aigua team was made up of Lucio Martín, Pedro Pérez, Jordi Vives, Óscar Cabrera and Raquel Sánchez, and the ¡WalkErcros on fire! It was made up of Xavier Torrent, Miquel Blanch, José María Salamero, Luís Urbano and Maika Arroyo. Both teams successfully managed to cover the 50 km walk together, which took place along the Vía Verde from Girona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

The Trailwalker was born in 1981 by Oxfam to collect donations. Today it is one of the main sporting challenges in the world, with 16 events in 11 countries. 280 teams and more than 1,100 people participated in the Girona Trailwalker; In total, almost 380,000 euros were raised.

Congratulations on this great solidarity action!
