Great success of the open day of Vila-seca I

Vila-seca,

On Saturday, May 25, the Vila-seca I factory opened its doors to welcome the visit of the workers and former workers of the Tarragona Complex accompanied by their families and friends. More than 200 people toured the facilities of a factory that in recent times has undergone a profound process of remodeling and expansion.

The visitors, guided by technicians from the factory itself, walked through the different facilities of the center to learn about the manufacturing process of chlorine and its derivatives; and at the same time verify all the improvements carried out. Especially emotional was the reaction of the retired workers, who had not set foot in Vila-seca I for years and who showed their surprise at the changes and new ways of working.

The boys and girls, children of the workers, also had a reserved space in the day; Accompanied by monitors, they carried out various activities such as a face-painting workshop or a science workshop for the elderly.

In his thank-you speech, the center's director, Joan Miquel Capdevila, highlighted "the professionalism, effort and dedication of the factory workers" and concluded that "the road has been long but we have achieved our goal and now we have a factory modern, adapted to new and better technologies"

In turn, Agustín Franco, general business director of Ercros, assured that thanks to the investments made, the factory is prepared to be profitable and competitive now and in the future and, in this way, Ercros has consolidated itself in the "very first line of the Spanish market in the chlorine sector"

The day concluded with a snack and a photocall through which all the workers, former workers and their families and friends paraded.
