Rovira i Virgili University recognizes the Ercros collaboration
As part of the 50th anniversary commemoration of Chemistry Faculty in the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) in Tarragona, an event was held last Friday in which a plaque was presented to Ercros to thank its collaboration.
The recognition was delivered to Joan Miquel Capdevila, director of the Ercros industrial complex in Tarragona by Yolanda Cesteros, dean of the Chemistry Faculty. The event was also attended by former deans of this faculty and representatives of other collaborating companies. On behalf of Ercros, in addition to the director of the complex, also attended to the event: Sebastian Espino, corporate director of R&D; Manuel Tierno, head of the plastics R&D department; and Teresa Camarasa, head of the R&D intermediate chemicals department.
Currently, Ercros has several lines of collaboration with the URV, among which are the classes taught by Ercros technicians in the degree and master of chemistry; the reception of students in its factories to do curricular internships; the participation in the dual degree of chemistry, etc.
