The Spanish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce honors Antón Valero

The Spanish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CHP) has awarded the João Flores Honorary Award to Antón Valero, non-executive chairman of Ercros, during the annual Vasco da Gama Awards ceremony. This is the highest recognition of the CHP for companies and personalities that generate strategic value in the Iberian field.
In this special category, which pays tribute to the founder and former president of the Chamber, professionals and personalities who have played a prominent role in strengthening and maintaining bilateral relations between Spain and Portugal are recognized. Thus, Antón Valero has been awarded for his contribution to the development and consolidation of economic relations between Spain and Portugal, a contribution linked to his career in the chemical and institutional sector. In previous editions, the João Flores Honorary Award went to figures such as the Portuguese ambassador to Spain, João Mira Gomes. The awards gala took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Madrid, with the attendance of institutional and business representatives who support Iberian cooperation.
Antón Valero said: "It is an honour to receive this recognition. I am very lucky to see every day the potential of the relationship between Portugal and Spain when it is promoted, cared for and built with a long-term vision. I have been able to experience this strengthening of ties between our countries very closely at Bondalti and after working for many years between Portugal and Spain, I know to what extent this relationship generates value and future. With this special award, I continue with enthusiasm my work in the Iberian chemical industry, now also from Ercros, with the purpose of further strengthening Iberian relations".
