Students of Chemical Engineering of the UB visit the factory in Vila-seca II

A group of 30 third-year students and professors of the bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Barcelona visited the Vila-seca II factory, part of the Ercros Industrial Complex of Tarragona (CIT). The pupils, who are studying the subject of Process Engineering and Product Engineering, have been received by Mario Lorenzo, head of industrial relations, and Silvia Padró, training technician.

Ricard Sáez, head of the PVC plant, presented the operation of the CIT and its main production processes, and accompanied the group on a tour of the VCM and PVC manufacturing plants.

Ercros maintains a firm commitment to the transmission of knowledge and learning to future generations of professionals, a link that is strengthened through visits such as this one, which bring industrial activity closer to the university environment.
