Students from IES José Mor de Fuentes visit the Ercros factory in Monzón

A group of 40 third-year ESO students from the José Mor de Fuentes Secondary School visited the Ercros factory in Monzón this Thursday.
The visit, led by the factory manager, Rafael Mancho, and the head of R&D, Belén Pascual, focused on the current challenges of plastic waste management, a topic adapted to the subjects the students are studying in class.
During the visit, a brief presentation of Ercros and the production processes at its Monzón plant was also given. The growing job opportunities in the recycling sector and the strategic role of bioplastics were also highlighted.
Ercros's factory in Monzón is dedicated to the research and production of advanced polymers, from both a technological and environmental perspective. The facility produces PVC compounds formulated from PVC resin sourced from the Vila-seca II factory (Tarragona), incorporating various additives to give them specific properties depending on their final application. It also develops and markets the ErcrosBio range of bioplastics.
