Two students from the Institut Gorgs de Cerdanyola, Mar Jiménez and Cecilia Liu, have won the fourth edition of the Cerdanyola Talent Factory youth entrepreneurship programme with the Koru Life project, an initiative developed with the mentoring of Héctor Barón, director of the Cerdanyola factory in Ercros, and Ángel Domínguez, head of industrial relations at the centre.

The project consists of a therapeutic platform in the form of a cooperative video game aimed at children and adolescents hospitalized for long periods of time. Through the joint construction of a virtual city, the proposal seeks to reduce anxiety, reduce the perception of pain and combat emotional isolation. The students received the award from Carlos Cordón, mayor of Cerdanyola del Vallès, during the final gala held at the city's Ateneu.

During the last four months, Héctor Barón and Ángel Domínguez have accompanied the students in the development of their proposal, providing guidance, experience and support to transform an idea with a social vocation into a solid and viable entrepreneurial project.

As winners of the contest, the students have been awarded a five-day trip to Silicon Valley, where they will be able to learn first-hand about some of the most outstanding companies and institutions in the world in the fields of innovation and technology.
