Ercros PVC resins obtain the Environmental Product Declaration

Barcelona,

Ercros has obtained Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its five PVC resins (610, 630, 630P, 631 and 650). The declarations have been published in The International EPD® System (Environdec), one of the leading international programmes for verified environmental declarations.

An EPD is an internationally recognised document that provides transparent, objective and independently verified information on a product's environmental performance throughout its life cycle. It is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) carried out in accordance with international standards and validated by an independent verification body, ensuring the reliability and comparability of the data.

Obtaining this certification marks another step in Ercros' commitment to sustainability and environmental transparency. In addition to providing verified environmental information, it facilitates access to projects and markets that require independently verified data and responds to the growing demand for sustainability criteria from customers, specifiers and public authorities.

The EPD provides detailed information on the certified resins and assesses their environmental impact from cradle to gate. The indicators analysed include carbon footprint, resource and water consumption, waste generation and other relevant environmental parameters. The document also describes the characteristics of the products, the manufacturing process and the methodology used for the assessment.

The declaration is publicly available through The International EPD System, where the official document can be consulted and its validity verified. This public availability facilitates the use of the environmental information relating to Ercros' resins in projects, studies and third-party environmental declarations.

With this milestone, Ercros continues to advance its sustainability strategy and its commitment to continuous improvement, decarbonisation and the circular economy by providing reliable environmental information that enhances the competitiveness of its products in a market increasingly driven by sustainability.
