Biochemistry and Molecular Biology students from the UCM visit Aranjuez

Madrid,

A group of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology students from the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid visited the Ercros factory in Aranjuez on March 29.

The students, accompanied by their teachers, visited different areas of the plant such as production, control and R&D, focusing on biological manufacturing (maintenance of strains, microbiological control, fermentation and industrial extraction).

The personnel from the Ercros pharmacy division explained the activity carried out in the factory and the company's commitment to sustainability (prevention, environment and quality) and corporate social responsibility.

The Aranjuez factory has focused, for more than 70 years, on the production of pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediate products, mainly antibiotics. Its products are sold to more than 90 countries on five continents and 92% of its sales are exported.
