Ercros reaffirms its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint

Barcelona,

Oscar Giménez, head of project optimization of the Directorate for Sustainable Development of Ercros, spoke about Ercros' commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

Giménez explained that "Ercros has defined its decarbonisation objectives and plans in the short, medium and long term, and continues to reduce the carbon footprint of its activity", in the working session "The carbon footprint and energy transition plans", which took place within the framework of the III Catalan Congress on Sustainability organised by the Association of Economists and the Association of Chartered Accountants of Accounts of Catalonia.

The technical manager listed the main milestones that Ercros has achieved in terms of decarbonisation, and described the climate transition plan it is executing, the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets it has established, and the actions and investments it is making to achieve them.

He also pointed out that the new legislation approved by the Spanish government, which establishes the obligation to calculate the carbon footprint and prepare and publish plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, is an important step to reduce the carbon footprint at the national level.
