Between 2020 and 2024, Ercros has reduced by 38% its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, direct  and indirect from energy consumption , and by 9% its total emissions index. This index includes substances emitted into the air and water, as well as the generation of waste. These improvements are the result, among others, of the actions that the company has been carrying out within the framework of the 3D Plan.

In turn, the measures adopted in the logistics area to move towards the circular economy and decarbonisation have allowed Ercros to avoid the emission of 8,580 tonnes of CO2 in 2024, 59% more than in 2023.

In terms of occupational safety, the general accident frequency index, which measures accidents with and without sick leave of both own and external personnel, fell by 22% in 2024 compared to 2023, and the general frequency index of accidents by own personnel fell by 8.5% in the last year.

In 2024, the company revalidated, for the fifth consecutive year, the Platinum seal of EcoVadis, an international sustainability rating platform, with 87 points out of 100 and in which 168 strong points of Ercros' sustainability performance are highlighted. In addition, it successfully completed the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) questionnaire, which assesses the climate change curbing performance of listed companies around the world, and earned a "B" (Management) rating.

Likewise, Ercros obtained 86 points out of 100 in the ESG Rating 2024 of the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts (IEAF), six more than in 2023, when it obtained 80.

Ercros production centres have a certified sustainability management system. All of them are accredited by the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and 98% of the total energy consumed by the company is covered by ISO 50001 certification.
