Ercros showcases its API expertise at CPHI Milan
The company has been manufacturing antibiotics since 1945 and has extensive expertise in fermentation technologies, chemical synthesis and sterile manufacturing.
- Ercros offers CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) services to the pharmaceutical industry, providing end-to-end solutions in process development, technology transfer, scale-up, industrialisation and the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
- Its portfolio includes fusidic acid, fosfomycins, erythromycins and their derivatives, among other active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Ercros, part of the Bondalti group, is taking part in CPHI Milan from 6 to 8 October, one of the leading international events for the pharmaceutical industry, where it is showcasing its expertise and technological capabilities in the development and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
The company has more than 75 years of experience in this field and has been manufacturing antibiotics since 1945. Its pharmaceutical operations are based at its Aranjuez plant in Madrid, from where it supplies products to pharmaceutical companies in more than 70 countries.
One of Ercros’s main strengths is the technological know-how it has built up over the years. The company has industrial fermentation capabilities ranging from laboratory to commercial scale, as well as downstream processing capabilities including purification, filtration, chromatography and drying, as well as chemical synthesis and sterile manufacturing, forming an integrated CDMO offering for the pharmaceutical industry.
Ercros also has a broad portfolio of active pharmaceutical ingredients, including fusidic acid and sodium fusidate; several types of fosfomycins and erythromycins; derivatives of the latter such as azithromycin and clarithromycin; as well as famotidine and amlodipine besylate.
Its presence at CPHI Milan allows Ercros to showcase both its current offering and its capabilities to collaborate with other pharmaceutical companies in the development, transfer and industrialisation of new processes and products.
