The Flix factory ends 2018 without accidents

The Ercros factory in Flix did not have any accidents at work with or without leave among its own personnel in 2018, which is why this center became accredited with the Feique 2018 Safety Award, granted by the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry (Feique). to those companies with more than 50 workers that achieved a general frequency index equal to zero.

With regard to the accident rate of the company as a whole, the general frequency rate of own accidents – which measures the number of accidents with and without loss of own personnel for every million hours worked – fell by 34% between 2017 and 2018.

Regarding quality, in 2018, the Flix factory did not have any non-conformities associated with the product supplied, compared to a quality index of 0.12 on average for the last five years, which shows the degree of demand of the company in this matter. The quality index measures the number of tons of products affected by nonconformities over the number of tons sold.

The Flix center belongs to the Ercros chlorine derivatives division and is dedicated to the production of dicalcium phosphate.

Like the rest of the Ercros centers, the Flix factory has its environmental management system certified according to the ISO 14001:2015 standard; quality according to ISO 9001:2015; and prevention according to the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
