The Sabiñánigo factory improves its safety by 32%

The Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo reduced its general accident frequency rate by 32% in 2018 compared to the previous year. This index measures accidents with and without sick leave between internal and external personnel for every million hours worked.

In Ercros as a whole, the general frequency rate of own accidents fell by 34% between 2017 and 2018.

The Huesca center, in which more than 200 people work and which celebrated its centenary in 2018, also had an excellent result regarding the quality of its products, in such a way that its quality index -which measures the number of tons of products affected by customer complaints about the number of tons sold – improved by 27%.

The Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo is the leading Spanish producer of sodium chlorate and the leading European producer of chloroisocyanurates. The chlorine and its derivatives produced in this factory are obtained using membrane technology, the most advanced and respectful of the environment.

Recently, the Sabiñánigo center received the Pilot 2019 award, in the category of large companies for its logistics excellence, awarded by the Government of Aragon through the Aragonese Development Institute.
